This season there have been far too many of these games that are just so bad you can't even take anything from them.
What's the lesson learned tonight? Don't take so many penalties? Don't allow guys to get open on the far side of the ice?
Those should be basics. Not things learned throughout a season. There is nothing worth taking from this game, which means the whole thing was a waste.
Let's not talk about last night.
Chris Osgood gets the start tonight and Derek Meech subs in for Brett Lebda on the blue line. Niklas Kronwall remains in; it had been suggested that he might sit so he wouldn't have to go on back-to-back nights after coming back from injury.
No one else is returning tonight but Jason Williams could be back on Friday. Tomas Holmstrom is targeting Sunday and Johan Franzen has been cleared to play once he gets back into game shape.
jeebus, back and forth...i dont think my body is equipped to deal with emotional transitions this quick. consistency guys, consistency!
Yep. No defense. Little goaltending. No offense.
Kind of hard to win games like that. At least this might help Josh Harding's ratings for me in the DFHL.
Haven't seen a lack of coverage from the wings like this game v wild in a long time. Too many odd man breaks, no pressure up high on pk, Too much STANDING around. Since kronwall and ericsson have come back into the lineup, GAA is way up. I'll give it some time for them to get back into playing shape but its just horrible to watch right now. They don't deserve playoffs right now.
