We're inside twelve hours to the opening faceoff of tonight's Game Seven and I think this is the last time I'll have a clear thought until this thing is over.
Quick updates...
Pittsburgh's Petr Sykora is expected to miss Game Seven with a broken bone in his foot. Officially he's a game-time decision but the team would have to be pretty low on Miroslav Satan to go with a broken-footed Sykora over him.
For Detroit, Dan Cleary and Brian Rafalski skipped Thursday's practice but will play tonight. There are no expected lineup changes from Game Six.
I'll be posting from my phone again tonight so there won't be a lot of updates from me. If any big news comes up before I head out for Detroit, I'll post it.

Barry Melrose was on SportsCenter today... He actually said that he believed the Wings would win game 7!
in other news, hell froze over today...
Anyone making any predictions?
I know you guys won't like this but Im saying its going 2-1 Pittsburgh with Fedotenko scoring the winning goal in the 3rd. I expect a great game tonight and can not wait!!!!! Good luck!!
Cheers
No predictions. Every time I predict the Wings to win they lose and every time I predict them to lose they lose.

Im going to take that as a prediction for the Wings to win then.

Sometimes they lose when I don't predict anything, sometimes they win. I think what it comes down to is that I have no effect on the whole thing but I'm not willing to say otherwise. ![]()

Don Cherry holding an octopus in the Detroit river while dressed like a biker? wtf?
Man this is nervewracking.

I wonder if he comes up with things like this on his own.
Greaat period, pretty even, the wings started well, then the pens got into it about half way through, then the wings finished strongly. Still nervous as f*ck though.
i will feel alot better if we can get one on the board to but i thought we played well they had more scary chance's but we are taking the body and playing with good energy
Absolute insanity here. Fantastic atmosphere.
Wings came out strong until the penalty. A little sloppy after that. Still getting a lot of shots blocked.
Yeah, I'm at the game.
Last two minutes of the second were good but they played way too passive the rest of the period. Not fighting for pucks or anything. WTF?
why can't we play like the way we did for the last 2:30 for 20 mins that's what's gonna have to be done to get back in this

by the way Stuie has been an absolute liability tonight just not on his game at all
That early penalty put him off his game?
I care that they win, but I also care that they play well. Leave it all on the ice...no regrets. (If that doesn't happen, then I suspect that injuries are catching up with them. CBC has commented, for example, that Datsyuk doesn't have the jump he had in games 5 and 6.) They can come back, all things being equal....But at least they won't "goon it up".
It should be 1-0 look back at the replay of the first goal, it should of been called an iceing. The three most veteran refs in the game miss it, but I see it, and the NBC commentator sees it, WTF? And I agree with whoever said it, why can't we play like the couple minutes of the 1st, and the last 1 or 2 of the 2cnd, in between the Wings just stoped hitting, stopped forechecking, and stopped going to the net. Lets go wings, intensity is the key word!

Sorry, but not gooning it up is nothing to hang your hat on...If this third period goes the wrong way for Wing fans, the Pens gooning it up could be seen as a turning point in the series.
Don't look like scoring at the moment. No sustained pressure, just can't seem to be able to gain the zone. f*ck f*ck f*ck.
YEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! One more, come oooooooooooooooooonnnnnnn!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you want to attract more people to this game, to expand its audience, "gooning it up" is just not going to do it. I still like to see my winners and losers finish the game with grace. I know a lotta lotta people who vastly prefer the Olympic game to the NHL game, and you just don't see "gooning it up" on international ice.
Damn! I was looking forward to the parade. Go Wings!
