Injuries abound for both the Red Wings and the Blackhawks heading into Sunday's Game Four in their Western Conference Final matchup.
Detroit will be without Kris Draper with a groin injury. Pavel Datsyuk, who missed Game Three with a foot injury, will be a game-time decision once again. Justin Abdelkader returns to the Wings' lineup to replace Draper, unless Datsyuk is able to go. In that case Ville Leino will stay in the lineup while Abdelkader sits.
Chicago calls both Martin Havlat and Nikolai Khabibulin game-time decisions. Havlat left Game Three after being crushed by Niklas Kronwall, while Khabibulin was replaced for the third period by Christobal Huet after suffering an undisclosed lower-body injury.
'Hawks defenseman Brian Campbell has essentially called for Kronwall's head after the hit on Havlat, calling it gutless. Kronwall was not suspended for the play after being given a five-minute interference penalty and an ejection.

HA i say the only injury Bulin took was to his ego lol as far as Campbell that little punk is such a hypocrite anyone remember Umberger getting popped by Campbell when he was with Buffalo beside's it won't be him tryin to take Kronner out he has spent more time on his back this series than on his skate's
Chelios takes the ceremonial faceoff with Lidstrom out. He's got one of the extra As. Not sure who has the other, since Zetterberg is the only captain actually playing for the Wings tonight.
Nothing. And I want it that way. I want no hints for Chicago in Game Five.
true but man this is not good plus it gives them even more incentive to take a shot at Kronner
So for the record, high hit by Kronwall is 5 minutes and a misconduct. High hit by Pahlsson is 2 minutes.
Considering the Wings are supposed to be a weak European team, it seems like it's the Blackhawks getting p*ssy about every little hit.
3 things so far:
1. First goal was amazing, especially since it was shorthanded.
2. Second goal was amazing (if the Wings win, I'd like Franzen to get the Conn Smythe)
3. Being the fangirl I am, I was terribly upset to see Filppula hit in the face, but it's good that he was ok! ![]()
Dominating.
Not necessarily. As much as I want to say that, think of game 3.
And the Hawks just scored.
For the record, the Wings have no captain (with Lidstrom out) and only two alternates (Zata and Chelios), one of whom (Chelios) has only played a couple minutes all game.
Apparently Howard is on the Wings bench. Now I wonder what happened to Ozzie.
Edit: Could be a Babcockian "hurt" (I hope so).

there was a point at the end of the second when they had the chance in close he gloved and froze it looked like he kinda cringe like a groin maybe i definitly saw him cringe but he stayed in so i didn't think anything of it
that was totally demoralization for the Hawk's we go without our top center and general on the blueline and we still win by 5
Crikey! That was one for the ages, eh? (I always prefer lopsided in the Wings favor....)
I sometimes think that hockey would benefit from a rule where (like in basketball) if a player gets 3 ( or 4 or 5) minor penalties he is ejected from the game or a certain number of penalty minutes and the player is out. Such a rule might eliminate gooning it up like the Hawks did in this game, but the refs did handle the situation well...I must give credit where credit is due.
Conklin looked strong in the third, I thought. Having him in left no reason for the Hawks to be mauling the goalie (as I have seen them doing to Osgood, and as I suspect they would have been happy to continue)....
And THIS was Hossa's breakout game for this series...it was bound to happen sometime!
Can anyone tell me how Carolina managed to beat Boston? Or are the Pengoons just that good?
Wings need to get healthy to do that, assuming that both of the current series' finish off like they've started.

Keep in mind that Carolina has played in two 7 game series. They are probably out of gas.
