The Red Wings head into the first-ever NHL playoff game in Columbus with a stranglehold on the series but both teams know that could change quickly. A Detroit win tonight means the Blue Jackets need four straight wins to advance. A Columbus win tonight keeps them alive in the series, giving them hope that a Game Four win takes them back to Detroit tied up.
Kris Draper remains out for Detroit. Dan Cleary did not practice with the team but will play.
It goes without saying (though it's been said repeatedly) that the first 10 minutes are huge tonight. If the Wings can withstand an early push by the Blue Jackets they're in good position.

That's because everyone knows that channel is a joke! I live in Ohio and they don't even play the Jackets games, even when they're playing the Red Wings. Thank god I live close enough to MI!
