Former Islander Chris Osgood gets the start for the Red Wings tonight, facing former Red Wing Joey MacDonald in net for New York.
MacDonald makes his return from a knee injury that kept him out for the last 17 days.
Also returning to the Islanders lineup is Doug Weight, who missed six weeks with a sprained MCL.
A win tonight will clinch the Central Division for Detroit, put them two points up on the San Jose Sharks in the race for first place in the Western Conference, and give the team its fourth-straight 50-win season.
This game is the third of my three-games-in-six stretch.
Adopt me plz? :x I wish I could do that.
Nothing is happening so far, from what I've seen at least. It looks like there's 10 minutes left, but the TV cuts part of the time off.
Just realised I haven't actually watched a game since St. Paddy's day, so I've got to watch this one.
I suppose that's what you get when you only play for one period. But well done Joey MacDonald, first career NHL shutout.
