I'm about an hour behind a bunch of other people on this but the news this afternoon is that Henrik Zetterberg will return tonight against St. Louis.
MacLeod says that Zetterberg rejoins a second line that still features Mikael Samuelsson with Jiri Hudler on the third line with Valtteri Filppula. Kris Draper is back on the fourth line with Darren Helm back in GR.
Andreas Lilja is out tonight after yesterday's appendectomy, Derek Meech remains in the lineup to take his spot.

Considering what a fabulous job Meech has done, he should stay and Lilja to GR. ![]()
Just in my opinion.
(sorry for the bad grammar mistake, which is now eliminated)
Conklin gets the start, forgot to mention that earlier. Last year's best backup in the league vs. 2004's best backup in the league.
NHL CenterIce feed sucks tonight!
That's what she said. XD Sorry, couldn't contain myself ![]()
When doesn't it suck? I personally don't like the new NHL site. I haven't used center ice, but only because I'm fortunate enough to have FSN.
Zetterberg scores on his game back! <3 WOO
Hook by Hossa seemed no worse than any of the stuff that gets let go regularly. I guess I just don't understand the officiating yet this year.

Well, since I'm living down here in Norfolk, I need CenterIce for my addiction. Other than that, I go to the Scope Arena to catch the Norfolk Admirals. I have to wait until March 27th until they play the Griffins. Hopefully, I'll get to see D-Mac and Howard play.
"Pavel's been a one-man show here!"
Amen Ken Daniels, amen. ![]()
Haha, this is going to sound totally immature and all, but does anyone else find it funny that the logos at center ice are 'Toyota' and 'Bud-Light'?
Not the best combination, there.
What an amazing stop by Conklin! Wowza.

Not watching the game, I'll play Jeopardy with your answer.
Who are 5 former Winnipeg Jets still playing in the NHL?

Yep.
Started running through the list for Hartford and I'm sure this isn't complete...
Shanahan
Holik
Nylander
Pronger
Legace (did he ever get into a game for them?)

How much did the Wings pay for Drapes form the Jets?
Oh, now they say there are six players so I'm missing one.
Edit: Damnit, I forgot Doan actually played for Winnipeg.
St. Louis has some good TV announcers. Ten times better than Vs but that ain't saying much. Still, no one can beat Mickey Redmond.
You did well with the Hartford list...I can't find anyone else...Legace never played for them, but I was surprised to learn that JS Giguere played 8 games there.
Woops, I was playing rugby 08 on the pc during the intermission and I lost track of time, missed the second goal.

Gah! I knew there was another goalie.
Wings smacked around the St. Louis PP. Glad to see it, don't like giving them the chances when they've been on fire lately.

Homer put it in. There's a Rugby 08? Nice!
Haha, I love the turkey vaccinator bit. (According to my spell check, vaccinator is not a word.
I think you're all intelligent enough to know what I mean) Turkey vaccinator...what an odd job!
I can't believe half the period has gone by already. Wow, this period's flying.
The Blues announcers just brought up an interesting stat. The Wings were last in the league last year in fights. Considering the Wings style of puck possession play, is there a tightly synchronyzed line rotation that can be disrupted by fights and their penalties? In other words, could this explain the lack of fighting in the Wings game? Or, is it because the Wings don't invest in enforcers?
I'd say it's more that the Wings don't invest in enforcers. Why waste a lineup spot on one?
Great save by Samuelsson! ![]()
Slightly scary moment there. I think it hit the side of the net?
I used to play winger, fullback, and outside center. I was a small quick guy.
Joke of a call on Kronwall.
What do you mean by that?!?! Aren't you thrilled to hear 'Bluuuuuuuuueeeeeesssss on the pooooowwwwweeeeerrrr plaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay!' ;D
Next the NHL'll have Mexican soccer announcers. (Gooaaaaaaaaaaaaalllllllllll...etc.)
And McDonald scores. I like him, but not when it's against the Wings =/
Well, could see that coming as soon as they put Kronner in the box. Detroit scores and it's "Quick, get St. Louis back on the power play!"
Blues are doing that, "You might be beating me but look how big my dick is" thing where they spend five seconds after every whistle cross-checking people, knowing that stuff never gets called.
