Assuming the full-camp roster from Red Wings Central is correct, there will be only one number change for a returning Red Wing this season.
Aaron Downey will be giving up #20 for the #44 made available by Mark Hartigan's departure.
Newcomer Ty Conklin will be wearing the #29 that hasn't been worn since Jason Williams was traded to Chicago at the 2007 trade deadline, allowing Jimmy Howard to keep his #35.
The #21 worn at camp last year by failed prospect Igor Grigorenko has been given to Finnish player-of-the-year Ville Leino.
Being a sweater numberphile
Haha, that's a cute term!
Since I'm still kinda ignorant on a lot of this stuff, I think it's cool the second link listed Darren Helm as the number two prospect <3 He's my favourite.
I only recognize Abdelkader, Ritola, Kindl and McCollum (cause of the draft). Have the rest played in any other games or gone to training camps yet?
Most of these guys won't have played any games, there are restrictions on that to make sure it's a true "prospects" tournament.
And apparently the number listed for Johnston was wrong, so Ericsson may still have #52. If he does, I wonder why #2 was on his truck for the parade.
