Would have posted this sooner but I was stuck in a meeting when MacLeod's update was posted.
Johan Franzen's tests on Monday revealed "nothing that needed treatment." No idea what that means, 'cause he's still got headaches.
He's out for Game Four.
Well, even though I'm not a doctor, if I still had these headaches I say something would need treatment. Strange.
Thanks for the update, though.
Khan has a bit more of an update today.

"We think there's a chance he'll be ready to play some point in time (in this year's playoffs)," Holland said. "He's not healthy enough right now to work out. When the headaches go away they'll look at him again. Right now we're kind of in a holding pattern."
Franzen's headache is gone but he's still out for Game Six and the potential Game Seven.

Babcock thinks he can return for the Finals.

Babcock thinks he can return for the Finals.
Thanks for the terrible news, there won't be a finals now, he's our savior if he returns. I hope this news is wrong because without him wings are toast. Why is everyone downplaying his importance and all assuming wings are in the finals. Stars are about to make a historic comeback that happens every 33 years. If Morrow had these symptoms he'd be out there.
I'm not assuming anything. Nothing is won or lost yet.
I agree, that's a big assumption, he did help them out a lot, but uh...there's no 'Franzen' in 'Team'??? That's why other people like Hudler and his goal are starting to contribute ![]()
Johan Franzen is seemingly nearing a return...

He's been cleared to practice with the team and will do so tomorrow. Today he was out after the main practice with the Grand Rapids call-ups (minus Hartigan and Abdelkader, who practiced with the Wings since Filppula and Draper were absent).
The Wings are still calling him "doubtful" for Game One but Babcock has said he's ready to play and will do so as soon as the doctors clear him.
I've got a feeling he'll be in for Game One. Babcock says he doesn't see any reason why he can't play so it's up to the doctors.
Franzen will be back in by Game Four at the latest, it seems...
