No Predictions, No Stress

No predictions from me this year. Why?

Over at A2Y, Bill's got the Stress Train going. I'm going into these playoffs not stressing.

On paper, the top seed should win every series. We all know things don't always work out the way they're "supposed" to. So I don't make predictions. Not worried about it.

One game at a time, one series at a time.

Of course, that's probably all out the window when the Wings drop a game.

Well, who do you think has the Cup this year? Interesting matchups galore this year:

Montreal/Boston (Montreal in 5)

Pittsburgh/Ottawa (Pittsburgh in 6)

Washington/Philadelphia (Washington in 6)

New Jersey/N.Y. Rangers (New Jersey in 7)

Western Conference:

Detroit/Nashville (Detroit in 5)

San Jose/Calgary (San Jose in 5)

Minnesota/Colorado (Minnesota in 6)

Anaheim/Dallas (Anaheim in 6)

My predictions in parentheses. Who do you think moves on to round 2?

7 out of 8 in terms of winners, with the only incorrect prediction so nearly a perfect score. And 3 perfect scores as well. Not bad!

Nice work, britishwingsfan. I'm going to try again with round 2 of the playoffs...

Detroit-Colorado (Detroit in 6)

San Jose-Dallas (San Jose in 7) I'm picking this as the most physical and crazy series of the Conference Semi-Finals.

Montreal-Philadelphia (Montreal in 6)

Pittsburgh-NY Rangers (Pittsburgh in 6)

I'm thinking that it will be the Wings and Sharks in the West and Montreal and Pittsburgh in the East. I will be a good set of games from every series.

Welcome to Drew 22.

No predictions from me but I'm pushing for Montreal - New York matchup in the Eastern Conference Final. Love the Original Six matchups.

I can't predict considering I don't even know how they match the second round teams up (first round is obvious, so give me credit for knowing that <|3)But I was hoping Montreal would win the Eastern Conference(then lose to the Wings in the finals ;D) because:A). VIVE LE CANADA!B ). Bryan Smolinski is a native of my areaC). Mathieu Schneider won the cup with them in my birth year/ his rookie season.edit;; hahaha, sweet, I'm a Hall of Famer now! <img src="http://forums.detroithockey.net/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/welcome.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":welcome:" border="0" alt="welcome.gif" />

Basically, the same principle as the first round applies, so the lowest seeded team plays the highest seeded team, then the 2nd lowest seeded team plays the 2nd highest seeded team.
